You Are Not a "System Error": You Were Designed for a Purpose
We are neither a system error nor a coincidence; our lives bear the seal of a purpose that began long before we started questioning who we are. Look at Paul, for example: God strategically placed him in a household that allowed him to be trained as a Pharisee while simultaneously inheriting Roman citizenship. That combination was not luck, but a divine strategy, enabling him to move between different cultures and social strata. Acts 9:15: "But the Lord said to him, 'Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel.'"
Thanks to his training as a Pharisee, he possessed sufficient knowledge of the Law to speak with authority to the Jews; and thanks to his Roman citizenship, his cultural formation was significantly broader. Paul spoke Hebrew and Greek, and was familiar with Latin, which gave him the necessary training to teach the Gentiles. His command of Greek rhetoric allowed him to connect with diverse audiences—from Jewish synagogues to the auditoriums of Gentile philosophers in cities like Athens. He could even quote Greek poets and philosophers to build bridges and explain the Gospel within their own cultural framework. Furthermore, this technical preparation granted him an exceptional ability to write and compose profound texts, a talent that God used to make Paul the author of a large portion of the New Testament.
In short, it was no coincidence that he was the chosen apostle: God used his cultural background, his training as a Pharisee, and his Roman citizenship as key tools so he could move fluidly throughout the known world. Just like him, every piece of your history—the place where you grew up, the opportunities you had, and your background—has been part of that "training" precisely designed so that you are exactly where God wants you to be today.
Your studies, what you are passionate about, and the career you are building are not just about earning money or obtaining a degree; they are the talents God placed in you since you were a child. He has been aligning your skills—even those you sometimes undervalue—so that when the time to act arrives, you not only have the capability but also the divine DNA to make a difference. Your experience is not just a resume; it is your toolkit, designed directly by the Designer.
The point of all this is for you to become a powerful instrument in the hands of the Holy Spirit. It is not about being the brightest or the most popular, but about being available. When you give God your skills and your creativity, He takes them to another level. Imagine your life as software receiving a final "upgrade" from Him, so that through your profession or your daily activities, you transmit something that truly changes this world.
You have a very specific purpose that no one else can fulfill because your combination of gifts is unique. As Acts 9:15 says, you are a "chosen instrument." It does not matter if you sometimes feel lost; the reality is that you have an original design and a clear purpose. When you let the Holy Spirit take control, you understand that you are not here by accident, but to carry the name of God to places that no one else could reach with your unique style and voice.
