No matter the situation, God is with me.

Isaiah 43:2
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.

Biblical Context
This verse is part of a message of comfort and hope that God, through the prophet Isaiah, gives to the people of Israel, who are about to be taken into exile in Babylon. Throughout chapter 43, God reminds His people that, despite their sins and the impending punishment, He has not abandoned them. He addresses them with love and promises His protection, assuring them that no matter what difficulties they face, He will be with them to deliver them.

Teaching
The main lesson of this passage is a promise of divine presence and protection in the midst of trials. "Water" and "fire" are common biblical metaphors for situations of great danger, difficulty, and suffering. God doesn't promise that His children won't face these trials ("when you go through..."), but He does promise that He will be with them throughout the process. The promise is not of a life without problems, but of a life in which He is present in every problem, protecting them from ultimate harm and delivering them.

The Promise of His Presence
God promises that no situation is so overwhelming that we must face it alone. He is with us in the "flood" of anguish and the "fire" of difficulty. His presence is the comfort and strength we need..

The Promise of Protection
The promise is not the absence of fire or water, but that they will not destroy us. Even when we go through difficult times, God protects us from being consumed by them. He gives us the ability to endure, to persevere, and to emerge unscathed on the other side.

The Promise is for the "Paso"
The phrase "when you pass through" suggests a journey, not a stagnation. This teaches us that trials are not our final destination, but rather a path that, with God's help, we can traverse to reach a place of peace and security.
